Poem: A Shadow that will Always Follow

(Here is the extended version of the poem)

Whatever I do, where ever I go
it follows me like a shadow;
but Guilt is a price you pay for crimes
you do, for causing sorrow

With the dagger of Guilt pierced
 in my heart, I know I am to blame;
yet I wish I really don’t have to
hang my head in shame

Above, the truth shines like the sun,
causing the shadow below;
it is the price for what I've done,
a shadow that will always follow

Whatever I do, where ever I go
it will follow me like a shadow,
this Guilt will always make me feel
as if there’s no tomorrow.

  1. Is it because "guilt makes you feel as if there's no tomorrow" that it is huge and towering behind you even as the "truth shines like the sun causing the shadow"?
